If you did not renew your membership by December 31, 2013 to receive the prorated fee you will need to pay the full amount of $60. The renewal date is changing to July 31st to coincide with your USAG renewal date. This will make it much easier to remember when your memberships are due.
Now that the on line membership renewal and registration is in place the National Governing Board is working on plans to send each member a membership card. Also, each judge has a new NAWGJ Membership number. If you do not know your new number you need to go to the web site at www.nawgj.org and log in to find it. The old membership numbers have been taken out of the system and only the new numbers appear. Make sure you have a new number for any contracts you sign. You will also need to update your info on Tennessee NAWGJ web site and change your membership renewal date and new NAWGJ Membership number.
Tennessee NAWGJ Governing Board Elections

National Judges Cup 2014
This year Joyce Wallace represented TN at the National Judges Cup. There were 80 judges from 25 states at the meet with 26 sessions (two gyms). Judges from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana were also present from Region 8.
National Judges Cup 2015, Montgomery, Alabama
National Judges Cup (NJC) will be in Montgomery, Alabama next year at the Crampton Bowl Recreation Center. Since it is in Region 8 next year, maybe more judges will volunteer to judge and help with what needs to be done. If you have never been to National Judges Cup, the judges of course judge but they also time routines, time warm ups (modified capitol cup), data input, verify scores, awards, and music. This will be the 25th anniversary of NJC so we are hoping to make it a big deal!
Each event, even the compulsory, have 4 judge panels. So you can see how many judges are needed. A minimum of 28 judges are needed in each gym and that does not count the other jobs that are covered by volunteers. I hope we can show the nation the support from Region 8 and make NJC 2015 as large as it was in Tacoma, Washington this year.
Each judge who volunteers can use the hours they work NJC on their Brevet/National Course Eligibility Form. Patty Shipman is the National Board Member in charge of NJC. She will send a volunteer form to all the SJDs which I will forward to each of you. You will need to complete the form and email or mail back to her for event and job assignments.
Congratulations to Pam Hannan, Shannon Osucha, and Natalia Grosso on ther new National ratings, Audrey Davis and Laurel Douthwaite on their new Level 9 ratings, Cindy Fisher, Julie Crider, and Melanie Everett on their new 4/5 ratings.
